Blue-Sky App

The Blue-Sky App is a user-friendly platform designed to visualize and analyze air quality data using extensive Earth observation datasets using available open source satellite images like Sentinel-5P. This satellite offers accurate and timely data on atmospheric composition, providing measurements for key pollutants such as PM2.5 and carbon monoxide (CO) every 1-2 days at approximately 1km spatial resolution.

Whether exploring historical data or monitoring real-time conditions, Blue-Sky App empowers users to make informed decisions and develop effective environmental management strategies for urban planning, public health, and pollution control for  specific administrative region in one of predefined countries.

Particulate Matter (PM2.5) refers to particles smaller than 2.5 microns in diameter. While this isn't entirely precise, it's a simple way to describe the tiny size of these particles. In recent years, concern over the health effects of PM10 has grown rapidly. However, there's now a growing focus on monitoring smaller particles like PM2.5, as they can penetrate deeper into the lungs.
